PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION:

"Given Ms. Davis' upbringing, many of the ideals of the  Federation are familiar and appealing, She has not had a problem  adjusting to that aspect of life in this century. The technology has proved more of a difficulty. She prefers a 'simpler way of life' as she put it.

"However, this shouldn't stop her from becoming a productive member of society.

"Ms. Davis also has a natural curiosity that has been allowed to
bloom as a child. She is a fast learner. She understands people and
sees things between them in ways I can't quite understand.

"As a counselor, I believe she would be an asset to whatever
organization seeks her skills."

HISTORY & BACKGROUND MATERIAL:

Born in Berkley California in 1974; Sunshine's parents were part of the "hippie movement" of the 1960s. Much of Sunshine's growing up was
spent in a co-op or commune-type environment. Her formal education took place at home by her parents. Her mother (Leaha MacDonald Davis)
was a journalist and her father (Christopher Davis) was an environmentalist.

Sunshine held fascination with stories of the paranormal. Near death experiences, auras, communication with the dead and aliens were all
part of this.

At the age of 20, she and a group of friends ventured to "Area 51." Their three day trip ended without incident. On the way home,
however, a bright light suddenly appeared in front of their car. When the light disappeared, Sunshine was gone.

Extensive searching never recovered Sunshine's body.

Several hundred years passed. Federation scientists discovered a derelict space ship from an unknown race in the Delta Quadrant. The
body of a human female, approximately 21 years of age was discovered in stasis.

A thorough medical examination was completed before the female was reawakened. During this exam, a small device emitting electrical impulses was discovered implanted in the back of her neck. A decision was made to remove the implant. As soon as this happened, the body began to convulse. Upon reinsertion, the body stabalized. Scientists were unable to determine the purpose of the implant. Doctors also noted that one of the woman's ovaries had been removed, although there was no external evidence of surgery.

Upon awakening from stasis, Sunshine could recall no events that led to her being placed in stasis.

Sunshine decided to learn more about her new world by studying psychology. She wanted to understand the alien mind in hopes of finding whoever had kidnapped her.  And, she realized, that her prospects of finding the abductors were better in space than on earth.
