BACKGROUND MATERIAL
     Ribuk is quite an average officer.  Graduating the Academy, rather than pursuing a Starfleet career and attempting to climb the ranks. On his first assignment, he was appointed the job of technician on one of the lower maintenance decks. With a totally quiet and uneventful service record on this task, he studied science while on duty, and attended classes while off duty.  In 2411, he obtained a degree in chemistry.  Requesting a transfer to a ship, his superior officer who barely knew him transferred Ribuk to the USS Thunderchild, where he currently serves as a science officer.
    Due to his extreme Arbazan condition of poor metabolism, Ribuk must get at least 10 hours of sleep every 24 hours.  For this reason, he is not able to serve on night shift, but has arranged with Kfarad to put in extra time in the morning and evening to make up for that.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE
     Ribuk is not very outgoing, but he is pleasant to be with.  With almost no friends, he likes to spend most of his time alone or relaxing.  Ribuk can control his temper, and is quick to adapt to situations and always does the morally right thing to do.
